The Big Question:  Why We Can’t Stop Talking About Science, Faith, and God

by Alister McGrath

Much discussion about the relationship between science and religious faith in recent years has been dominated by the so-called New Atheists such as Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins, who dismiss all religion as premodern nonsense.

Alister McGrath’s The Big Question presents a response to the New Atheists and offers an accessible, engaging account of how science relates to faith.  McGrath explores how the working methods and assumptions of the natural sciences can be theologically useful (summary from the publisher).

Alister McGrath is the Andreas Idreos Professor of Science and Religion at Oxford University.  For more information, please check with Peter Byrne, byrne@law.georgetown.edu.
