Amanda will lead a responsive litany with the Rev. Dr. LaTayna Purnell as we release her from serving as a Member in Discernment, celebrate her ordination, and bless her journey into ministry. Ulung Tanoto will offer special music, “On Eagles’ Wings” with soloists Trevor Bakker, Omari Hardy, and Moira and Sophie Jones. Reshmina William will lead us in a responsive reading of Psalm 91 (excerpted), and the Rev. Laura Simmons will serve as our scripture reader with a focus text from Luke 16:19-31 (Parable of the rich man and Lazarus). Rev. Amanda will preach. We will also share in prayers of the people.
