Join us at 10:30 in the sanctuary or click here to join us by Zoom this Sunday as we remember the baptism of Jesus and continue the season of Epiphany, a season of revelatory light. Joseph Darling-LaGamma will call us to worship with a reflection. Rev. Sam will lead a time with our children. Michael Enseki-Frank and Abby Goodman-Johnson will serve as our scripture readers with focus texts from Isaiah 42:1-9 (suffering servant) and Matthew 3:13-17 (Jesus is baptized). Rev. Amanda will preach the sermon. The First Church Choir will sing the anthem “Fill-a Me Up!” under the direction of Dennis Turner. Rev. Amanda will introduce our second Sunday special offering recipient for January, Free DC. We will share in the prayers of the people and end the service with an invitation to come forward to the baptismal font for a ritual of remembering your baptism and renewing your baptismal vows.
