Dennis Turner

Dennis is a long-time friend of First Church. In addition to attending Sunday services, whenever possible, Dennis enjoys serving as a keyboardist for the Church. He is a frequent substitute musician, collaborative pianist, and interim musician for churches in the DMV. He is a strong advocate for musical experimentation and diversity, as a tool to keep the Spirit fresh and lively. Dennis particularly enjoys working with church choirs to help them move beyond simply reading the notes to actually singing and feeling the music.  And, the awareness of the entire body is critical in achieving this goal! Dennis resides in Arlington, VA and very proudly shares that his young next-door neighbor, Torri Huske, is an Olympic gold medalist in swimming and has just graduated from Stanford! He is a sports junkie who appreciates that both sports and music require discipline. Dennis is a graduate of Georgetown and George Mason Universities.
