Join us at 10:30 in the sanctuary or join us by Zoom this Sunday as we celebrate the ancient feast of communion and continue our summer theme, “Unsung Heroes.” Polly Gordon will lead us in the prayer of confession and words of assurance. Susan Anderson and Rev. Jason Carson Wilson will serve as our scripture readers with focus texts from the book of Esther (Mordecai entreats Esther). Rev. Amanda will preach. Andrew Hamilton and Dwan Reece will provide a special music offering, “Why I’m Here” by Paul Morton, Jr. and Samara Joy McLendon. Rev. Sam will lead us in the prayers of the people and preside at the communion table with Rev. Amanda. For those joining from home, please prepare your table with the elements of bread and cup, which we will bless and break together.
