Homecoming Potluck Dinner and Hymn Sing, September 7

An Old-Fashioned Hymn Sing

Have you ever said to yourself on Sunday morning, “Why don’t we sing more of the hymns that I REALLY love?”   Well…we will be doing just that on the evening of September 7th following a delicious pot-luck at First Congregational Church, DC. at 10th & G NW.  Among the hymns being sung will be some of everybody’s all time favorites.  Here are just a few examples:

This Little Light of Mine       Joyful, Joyful We Adore You            Amazing Grace

A Mighty Fortress              How Can I Keep from Singing         Be Thou My Vision

Great Is Your Faithfulness   Every Time I Feel the Spirit              Marching in the Light of God

De Colores                      Won’t You Let Me Be Your Servant    O for a Thousand Tongues

And more!

Come to First Congregational Church on Saturday, September 7th at 6:00 for food and fellowship. At 7:30 we’ll move to the sanctuary to join voices in hymns and spiritual songs.  Accompanied by pipe organ, pump organ, piano, guitar, cello and percussion, let’s fill the hall with the sound of voices singing praise to God and rejoicing in the power of community.
