“Ezekiel in the Valley of Dry Bones” by Cody Miller
Join us at 10:30 in the sanctuary or click here to join us by Zoom on this fifth Sunday in Lent as we continue our theme, “Seeking: Honest Questions for Deeper Faith.” Sophie Jones will serve as the vocalist during the prelude. Rev. Kaeley McEvoy will serve as our Lenten candle liturgist, snuffing out the fifth purple candle as we journey deeper into shadow. Moira Jones will lead us in a responsive reading of Psalm 130, including a musical response. David Greer will serve as our scripture reader with a focus text from Ezekiel 37:1-14 (can these dry bones live?), and Rev. Amanda will preach. The First Church Choir will sing Handel’s “Surely He Hath Borne Our Griefs” under the direction of Leela Koilpillai. We will bless Sandy Sorensen as we celebrate her 30+ years of ministry as the Director of the UCC’s DC Office of Justice & Witness. We will also share in the prayers of the people. Join us!
