{"id":6095,"date":"2021-07-08T07:32:56","date_gmt":"2021-07-08T12:32:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.firstuccdc.org\/?p=6095"},"modified":"2021-08-13T09:55:36","modified_gmt":"2021-08-13T14:55:36","slug":"regathering-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.firstuccdc.org\/index.php\/2021\/07\/08\/regathering-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Regathering Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<style type=\"text\/css\"><\/style><p><strong><u>Regathering Update<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Regathering Task Force recommended the following changes to our Regathering Plan (for return to live worship), which were approved by Council.\u00a0 These changes are based on observations made during the first several weeks of Phase 3 and the rapidly improving COVID metrics in the Washington, DC area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Phase 3 Changes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>We will allow short visiting (with masking) in the sanctuary after the service.<\/li>\n<li>We plan open sign-ups, of up to 50 worshippers, for services on August 22, August 29, and September 6.<\/li>\n<li>In the online (pre-worship) signup form, we are now asking an optional question about household vaccination status.\u00a0 This is strictly to provide congregation-wide statistics for the Regathering Task Force to inform their recommendation as the church moves into Phase 4.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Phase 4 Changes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>On September 13, we will begin using open sign-ups with no attendance limit (instead of dividing congregation into in-person groups).\u00a0 We will continue to ask worshippers to sign up in advance to attend in-person services, so that we have necessary information for contact tracing.<\/li>\n<li>We will allow short visiting (with masking) in the sanctuary and narthex after the service.<\/li>\n<li>We will need four ushers each Sunday during Phase 4.<\/li>\n<li>We will continue to track community case numbers. \u00a0If case rates begin to rise steadily, we will step back to Phase 3.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The completed updated Regathering Plan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.firstuccdc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Regathering-Plan-Update-7-1-21.pdf\">Regathering Plan Update<\/a> and updated Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.firstuccdc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Regathering-FAQ-Updated-7-1-21.pdf\">FAQs Update<\/a> can be found on our website.\u00a0 We acknowledge that we are taking a cautious approach, relative to other institutions.\u00a0 This approach is informed by our desire to prioritize the health and safety of the whole congregation and to ensure that all feel welcome and comfortable at live services.\u00a0 We are encouraged by the improving metrics and optimistic that we will be able to further relax our protocols in the future.\u00a0 As always, we welcome your feedback.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Regathering Update The Regathering Task Force recommended the following changes to our Regathering Plan (for return to live worship), which were approved by Council.\u00a0 These changes are based on observations made during the first several weeks of Phase 3 and the rapidly improving COVID metrics in the Washington, DC area. \u00a0Phase 3 Changes We will&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[68],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-6095","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-archived-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
