Dr. Harrison will read from her book and engage us in discussion about the revelations of her research on the role of enslaved laborers in building our nation’s capital and the need for a monument that acknowledges the debt owed to these first Black-bodied builders of America. We will close with a time of Q & A. Please note this is a hybrid event allowing up to 50 participants present (masked and distanced) in the sanctuary of First Church at 10th & G.
