Worship with us this Sunday of Palms & Passion

Click here to join us by Zoom or click here to sign-up to join us in the sanctuary for worship on this Sunday of Palms & Passion as we continue our Lenten theme, “The Breath of Life.” Joseph Darling-LaGamma will speak the words of acclamation to begin our service, followed by a processional of palms including our children and the First Church Choir. Hannah Long-Higgins will serve as our Lenten candle liturgist, extinguishing the sixth and final Lenten candle as we journey into the shadows of Holy Week. Mary Hayes will offer the song of response on violin. Our children will offer a reader’s theater of the first scripture reading. The choir will sing the anthem, “Scatter the Joy.” The service will transition from joy toward the sorrow of Jesus’ final week as Lynaya Morris reads our second scripture about his arrest. Rev. Amanda will preach the sermon. We will also enjoy prayers of the people. All hymns will be sung congregationally. Join us for one of the holiest Sundays of the year! We will have palms for everyone.
