Join us at 10:30 in the sanctuary (friends, you no longer need to sign up in advance) or click here to join us by Zoom as we launch our stewardship season’s theme, “What Gift Can We Bring?” Polly Gordon will lead us in the prayer of confession and words of assurance. Randy Jones and Jean Alexander will serve as scripture readers with focus texts from Luke 6:43-45 and Galatians 5:16-23. We are thrilled to welcome as our guest preacher the Rev. Dr. Veronice Miles, Professor of Preaching at Wesley Theological Seminary. The First Church Choir, under the direction of Leela Koilpillai, will offer an anthem. Ellen Bushmiller will share a stewardship testimony. We will also offer prayers of the people.
Please note that while Rev. Sam will be away on Sunday, we do still plan to offer children’s Sunday school following the passing of the peace in worship.
Following worship, join us outdoors or on Zoom for coffee and fellowship followed by the final class in Rev. Amanda’s Progressive Theology series, which will take place both in the chapel and on Zoom. Please note that we ask everyone to limit eating and drinking to outdoors at this time for reasons of COVID safety.
