Join us at 10:30 in the sanctuary or click here to join us by Zoom this Pentecost Sunday as we celebrate the birth of the early church through the powerful movement of the Holy Spirit, which appeared among the apostles as tongues of fire. Thaddaeus Elliott will call us to worship with a personal reflection. Guest poet CeLillianne Green, Esq, will offer a spoken word performance of her poem “Your Evolution Will Not Be Televised,” and the choir will sing the introit, “My Eyes for Beauty Pine.” Our scripture text from Acts 2:1-17 will be spoken as a reader’s theater incorporating Cantonese and Spanish, led by Kelis Wong, Susan Saudek, James Moore, and Meg Maguire. Abigail Cipparone will provide special music, singing, “Everytime I Feel the Spirit.” Rev. Amanda will preach. We will also join in the prayers of the people. Whether joining us in person or on Zoom, we invite you to wear the colors of flame–red, orange, or yellow. Join us!
