Join us at 10:30 in the sanctuary or click here to join us by Zoom as we mark the first Sunday in Advent, meditating on the theme “How does a Weary World Rejoice?” We will light the first candle of Advent, the candle of Hope, and invite anyone worshiping with us from home to light your own candle of Hope as well. Rev. Sam will introduce the season of Advent during the children’s moment. Karen Tramontano will serve as our scripture reader with focus texts from Isaiah 64:1-9 (we are the clay, God is the potter) and Matthew 13:24-33. Rev. Amanda will preach. The First Church Choir will sing the anthem, “Prayer of the Children.” Rev. Amanda and Rev. Sam will preside over communion; for those joining us from home, please set your table with the elements of bread and cup, which we will bless and break together. Join us as we prepare our hearts to receive the mystery of incarnation.
