Dwan Reece and Andrew Hamilton will serve as our Lenten candle liturgists as they reflect on our theme, “Written on the Heart” and extinguish a candle, drawing us deeper into the shadow of this season. Thaddaeus Elliott and Greta McCaffrey will serve as our scripture readers with focus texts from John 2:13-22 (Jesus cleanses the temple) and 1 Corinthians 1 (God’s foolishness is wiser than human wisdom). Bishop Dwayne Royster will preach. The First Church Choir will sing the anthem, “Ave Verum Corpus.” Rev. Sam and Rev.
