Join us at 10:30 in the sanctuary or click here to join us by Zoom on this fifth Sunday in Lent. Lucille Dickinson will serve as our Lenten candle liturgist, reflecting on our theme “Written on the Heart as she extinguishes another candle, drawing us deeper into the shadow of this season. Rev. Sam will share a time with our children. The First Church Choir will sing the anthem, “God So Loved the World.” Diane Brenneman will serve as our scripture reader with a focus text from John 12:20-33 (if a grain dies it bears much fruit). For the message portion of the service, Rev. Amanda will introduce a short film by our own Hannah Long-Higgins, “Speaking Their Names: Remembering the Enslaved People Who Worked This Land” documenting First Church’s journey to excavate our hidden history and learn to tell our story in new ways. We will also share in the prayers of the people. Join us!
