Join us at 10:30 in the sanctuary or click here to join us by Zoom this Homecoming Sunday as we greet old friends and welcome new faces to worship together. Special musicians will include Katie Koza on violin and the Gabrieli Brass Quintet. Chandra DeNap Whetstine, our seminary intern, will call us to worship with a reflection on our fall theme, “Choose This Day.” Rev. Sam will provide a meaningful message for our children as we kick-off a new year of faith formation. The First Church Choir will sing the anthem, “Break Forth into Singing,” under the direction of Dennis Turner, our Designated Musician. Rev. Jason Carson Wilson and Diane Brenneman will serve as our scripture readers with focus texts from Mark 7:24-30 (even dogs eat the crumbs) and James 2:1-10, 14-17 (faith without works is dead). Rev. Amanda will preach. We will also share in the prayers of the people. Join us!

Our children will begin the morning in the sanctuary for worship. Rev. Sam will invite them forward for a Time with Children, then following the passing of the peace they will move to the Christian Education suite for Sunday School.

Following worship, all are invited to join us in the Community Hall for our “Taste of Home” potluck meal. Bring a dish that carries remembrances of home, vegan and gluten free options welcomed to ensure food for all. Even if you cannot bring anything this month, we trust there will be more than enough, so join us!
