Join us at 10:30 in the sanctuary or click here to join us by Zoom this Transfiguration Sunday, the final Sunday before our Lenten journey begins. Rev. Amanda will lead us in the prayer of confession and words of assurance. Cynthia Hobbs and Rev. Sydney Avent will serve as scripture readers with focus texts from Exodus 34:29-35 (Moses’ face shines) and Luke 9:28-36 (transfiguration of Jesus). Chandra DeNap Whetstine, our intern from Wesley Theological Seminary, will preach the sermon. The First Church Choir will sing the anthem “The Prayer.” Rev. Sam and Rev. Amanda will preside over communion. For those joining us from home, please prepare your table with the elements of bread and cup, which we will bless and break together. Join us!
